Role Overview

As Web3 Legal & Compliance Counsel, you'll be responsible for navigating the complex regulatory landscape of DeFi and ensuring our platform's compliance with relevant regulations. You'll work on developing and implementing legal frameworks that enable innovation while managing risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal compliance frameworks
• Monitor regulatory developments in DeFi/crypto
• Review protocol designs for regulatory compliance
• Create legal documentation and policies
• Manage relationships with regulatory bodies
• Advise on token economics and governance
• Review marketing and communication materials
• Coordinate with external legal counsel
• Implement compliance training programs
• Guide product development on legal matters
• Manage intellectual property portfolio
• Develop risk mitigation strategies

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of legal experience
• Strong background in financial regulations
• Experience with blockchain/crypto legal issues
• Knowledge of securities and banking laws
• Understanding of DeFi protocols
• Excellent analytical and writing skills
• Experience with compliance programs
• Strong communication abilities

Nice to Have

• Experience with DAO legal structures
• Knowledge of international crypto regulations
• Background in financial technology
• Understanding of smart contracts
• Experience with AI/ML regulations
• Multiple jurisdiction bar admissions
• Publications in blockchain law
